When I was at a conference earlier this year, I heard a statement I knew would change my business. I later realized it would change my entire life.
The statement?
Ninety-nine percent is hard – 100 percent is easy. Or as Jack Canfield, the bestselling author of The Success Principles, puts it: “99 percent is a bitch. 100 percent is a breeze.”
Take a moment to let that settle into your mind.
We are turning the corner this weekend and heading into “The Holidays”. Five weeks of friends, family, and fun!
It is supposed to be a joyful fun time of the year.
Yet it can become filled with anxiety and angst as we have too much too do and not enough time to get it accomplished. Emotions get frayed and what should be a joyful occasion suddenly becomes a requirement and just like Elvis all the fun has left the building.
I want to challenge you to change your approach and go through the holidays with an attitude of gratitude. Make it 100% of the time not just some of the time.
Believe it or not, of all the types of happiness and gratitude, that exist, the greatest is those derived from truly helping others.
Help yourself along the way by choosing approaches that fill yourself with good emotions. Crank up the music and enjoy yourself. Just be cautious as gratitude can be contagious.
