    September

    September 1978

It was a magical time to be a college student. In Texas the drinking age was 18, the SMU Mustangs were winning football games and we had incredible date parties at the Phi Delta Theta house. We were college kids – stupid and funny and could not worry about it being on social media 32 seconds later.

    PAC Man

This happens in our life every day. In the business world the PAC MAN’s are the Disrupters.

Disrupters in our economy are happening yet you may not notice them at first. Then all at once you realize how they have completely changed the industry and your personal habits.

    REBOOT

Ever get STRESSED about life and how you are going to accomplish everything you have to accomplish? Trying to live the Financial Olympian™ Creed and feeling maxed out financially? Wondering how you are going to accomplish EVERYTHING?

    This Class Should be MANDATORY

The Core Classes – English, Math, Science and History

These core classes in high school are supposed to either prepare you for college or life after high school.

As a college educated person, these core classes prepare you to have a wide knowledge base in addition to understanding the world at a very high level in your chosen field but also at a substantial level in other disciplines. The way in which a chemist describes the world is going to be very different than the way an English major or a Sociology major does. Being exposed to these “other” areas is thus part of the intellectual growth of going to college.

In my opinion, today’s education is missing the most important core class.
