5 Keys to Disney Financial Planning

Since the January 1987 Super Bowl where winning quarterback Phil Simms is asked “Now that you have won the Super Bowl what are you going to do?”

The reply that has become a nearly 25-year advertising campaign is “I’m going to Disney World”.

That is where my family spent the last week of January 2022.  Heather and I gave our two boys ages 12 and 10 a Disney trip Christmas. At that time, I think we were more excited about the trip than the boys.

Imagine having the highest of expectations and then having them blown away.

That was our trip. Truly Magical. The secret to our trip is simple.

Planning, Planning, Planning.

The Five Keys to Planning a Magical Trip to Disneyland

Plan – Don’t just wing it!

There are amazing people and companies that work with you to plan your trip and help you set your expectations for the visit.  Find one that a friend has used, interview them, and then let the planner work their magic.

Details -Sweat the Small Stuff

Disney might be a “Small Small World” yet you are trying to cover the “parks” in three or four days. Without a detailed plan, you will end up like the couple I saw having a “LOUD DISCUSSION” on the bench next to my oldest and me as we were taking a planned break.

Experience the Disney Magic

I am sure there is a “perfect time” to go to Disney, yet like everything in life, there is never the perfect time, there is only your perfect time. Young or old, Disney has the plan to make the goosebumps stand up on your skin, either from an ooh, an ah, or the scream of excitement.

Learn while you enjoy

Surprise, Disney has shows. Some of them are educational. Whether you are young or old, there is always time to learn and grow. FYI – The Carousel of Progress holds the record as the longest-running stage show in the history of American theater.

Be Flexible

Planning, whether it is a trip to Disney or planning your next house purchase, has many similarities. Being flexible is a key to success. We found that going during a non-peak time can save you thousands. A bonus is there are usually smaller crowds.

Have a flexible Calendar?

The most inexpensive time to go to Disney World is from early January until President’s weekend in February. The second least expensive time is in late August through September when there is always a lower demand.

Final Thoughts

We had a great experience with our family. Having a foundation for success on our vacation was essential. Do you have a financial foundation for your success? Schedule a time with us to discuss how planning makes your life more “Magical” like Disney World.

Schedule Time Now

There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow Shining at the end of every day.

Disney

Stay warm while we welcome February to the calendar – Spring is only 44 days away.
